Pathways Programme – Helping You Take Your Next Step

Whether you're looking to build confidence, learn new skills, or take your first step towards work, volunteering or further learning — the Pathways Programme in Blaenau Gwent is here to support you.

We offer a range of free, friendly, community-based courses designed around real people, real lives, and real goals. Whether you're returning after time out, managing a health condition, or balancing caring responsibilities, Pathways helps you move forward in a way that works for you.

What Pathways can do for you

Through Pathways, local people have:

  • Gained confidence after long periods out of work
  • Built new skills to support their families and careers
  • Met others and reduced isolation
  • Taken steps into volunteering, training or employment

How it works

Pathways is funded through the Trailblazer programme, part of the Welsh Government’s Pioneer Programme, supporting people who are economically inactive to take positive steps forward.

Our work is also part of The Deal — Blaenau Gwent’s commitment to:

  • Work with communities, not for them
  • Invest in people’s strengths and potential
  • Create healthier, more resilient communities
