As the result of a fire at our Silent Valley transfer station overnight, all recycling collections are suspended today. The fire service remains on site to monitor the situation and carry out assessments, which means we are currently unable to operate services as normal.
This is not linked to the ongoing wildfire incidents in the region.
Please note the following service changes:
- No recycling collections today
- Waste collections will continue
- Additional crews will work this weekend to catch up
- The Roseheyworth Recycling Centre, including The Den Reuse Shop, will be closed to members of the public
- New Vale Recycling Centre will be open 7 days a week for residents
