Holloways Travel is a newly established independent travel agency based in Abertillery. They specialise in providing bespoke travel solutions including luxury holidays, family getaways, adventure tours, cruises, UK breaks, and foreign exchange services. Their mission is to deliver a highly personalised, community-focused travel experience, both in-store and online, tailored to individual customer needs.
With the support of the Retail, Service and Hospitality Grant, Holloways Travel were able to kit out the newly refurbished shop with equipment, desks and shop signage enable them to enhance the look of the shop.
Gareth Holloway, Director of Holloway Travels said:
"Securing this grant has been vital in helping Holloways Travel go from vision to reality. It allowed us to create a modern, welcoming travel agency right in the heart of Abertillery – one that the community can be proud of. From the full electrical rewire and digital signage, to the shopfront and branded window displays, every element has been built with quality and customer experience in mind. This funding didn’t just help set up a business – it helped launch a dream, and we’re so grateful for the support in bringing it to life."
Councillor John Morgan, Cabinet Member for Economy & Place, said:
"It is great to hear how our grant has helped them to open their dream shop in the centre of Abertillery. I would like to wish Holloways Travel every success as they start their new journey."
The Blaenau Gwent Retail, Service and Hospitality Grant is funded by UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund and managed by the Business & Innovation Team at Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council. The Grant aims to support the growth and development of new and existing businesses in Blaenau Gwent.
