Service arrangements for Monday, 6th May 2019…

Blaenau Gwent Council offices in Ebbw Vale and Abertillery will be closed on Monday, 6th May 2019.

Customer Services

C2BG (the Council’s Contact Centre) will be closed on Monday, 6th May 2019 and will re-open at 8am on Tuesday, 7th May 2019. However, you can submit reports, requests and applications to the Council through the customer portal on our website www.blaenau-gwent.gov.uk or via the Blaenau Gwent mobile app available from the Apple, Google Play and Windows app store.

The Emergency out-of-hours service can be contacted on the usual number of 01495 311556 during this period. The Piper Alarm service will also continue to operate. Enquiries regarding Piper lifeline alarms out of office hours should be directed to 0845 056 8035.

Social Services Duty Team

The Duty Team Office will be closed on Monday, 6th May 2019 and will re-open on Tuesday, 7th May at 9am. During the Bank Holiday period please contact the Emergency Duty Team for Social Services on 0800 328 44 32.


Blaenau Gwent Register Service

The Register Office at Bedwellty House, Tredegar, will be closed on Monday 6th April.


Cash Desk and Payments

Benefits customer services and the cash desk will be closed on Monday, 6th May 2019 and will re-open at 8.30am on Tuesday, 7th May 2019. For anyone wishing to make a payment between these dates the 24-hour automated payment line is available on 0845 604 2635 or payments can be made via the Blaenau Gwent website.

Waste and Recycling Collection Services

The waste and recycling collection services will continue as normal on bank holiday Monday, 6th May 2019.
