We run open access sessions at various locations across Blaenau Gwent for anyone who needs support to get online or use technologies. The sessions are suitable for beginners aged (18+) and are relaxed and informal.
Sessions usually last up to an hour, during busy periods this may vary, so it’s a good idea to pick a few things that you would like to learn so people learn what they need.

Computers and Wifi
If you are a member of the library you can use the Internet and Microsoft Office software in all the libraries.
Although booking is not essential we recommend that you book a computer in advance by contacting the library.
The following facilities are available on the library computers:
- Internet access
- Microsoft Word for word processing
- Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets
- Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations
- Adobe Acrobat Reader to view PDF documents
- Printing - most libraries offer both black and white and colour printing
You can use USB devices to save your work. Printouts available in A4 & A3, black & white or colour, there is a charge for this service.
Staff and volunteers involved in ‘Get Blaenau Gwent Online’ work with local groups and organisations to provide free computer sessions for people who want get online, learn how to use the web and enjoy its numerous benefits.
We would love to get as many people involved in the project as possible; either through volunteering as an individual, or by joining organisational forces. If you have a few hours to spare, we’d appreciate your help to get more people in Blaenau Gwent online.
