This Foster Care Fortnight (15th-28th May 2023), The Fostering Network, the UK’s leading fostering charity, and local authority fostering services in Wales are calling on the wider business community to lend their support and make it easier for their employees to combine fostering and working. We’re engaging in a number of local fostering events to encourage local businesses to become fostering friendly.

Foster Care Fortnight 2023 meet and greet sessions:
- Monday 15th May 2023 | 11am – 2pm | Boots, Tredegar Town Centre
- Tuesday 23rd May 2023 | 11am- 2pm | Iceland, Ebbw Vale Town Centre
Employees from Foster Wales Blaenau Gwent on hand for discussions around the fostering community to share advice, information, and informal chats regarding fostering and how to enquire. Fostering packs will be available on the day for anyone who requires them.
Foster Care Fortnight 2023 Community Walk:
Thursday 25th May 2023 – Top of Brynmawr Town - 11am - 2pm
Employees from Foster Wales Blaenau Gwent will be conducting a local walk through the local valley of Blaenau Gwent. The walk starts at the top of Brynmawr Town at 11am and will pass through Brynmawr, Nantylgo, Blaina and will end at Abertillery Town. Employees are there to share advice, support, and information regarding fostering and how to enquire. Fostering packs will be available to anyone who requires one. Everyone welcome!
