National 'Elf' Walk 2019

This Christmas, to celebrate the NHS and our fabulous walking trails we are holding a National ‘Elf’ Walk on 27th December. It is a great opportunity to get out in the great outdoors and walk off some of the turkey and pudding.

Come and join us and discover some of the secrets of our landscape, enjoy some fresh air and a warming drink. This year we will be exploring a section of the Ebbw Fawr Trail. This will be a gentle 3 mile stroll taking in our industrial past and having a look at how nature is recovering the area.

All you need to do is book on line your FREE place at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/national-elf-walk-ebbw-fawr-trail-tickets-86501780153. The walk route is family friendly but do wear sensible footwear and warm clothes, an ‘Elf’ hat and your best Christmas jumper are welcome!

Meet in the foyer of Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan, Ebbw Vale at 10:00am on Friday 27th December. The route is a mixture of tarmac and stone paths but should be suitable for pushchairs. The walk is approximately 3 miles and should take about an hour and a half. Dogs can join us if they are kept on a lead but they will not be allowed in the hospital unless they are guide dogs. The walk is led by Alyson Tippings and if you have any queries, can be contacted on 07968 472812. Hot drinks are available at end of walk.
