Celebrating WEN Wales’ 100 Welsh Women Project. An evening of poetry, music 

and discussion on women in Wales and their work. In partnership with Aberration

International Women’s Day early evening drinks reception to celebrate WEN Wales’ 100 Welsh Women Project in the company of Vice-Chancellor Professor Elizabeth Treasure and Presiding Officer Elin Jones AM. In partnership with the University of Aberystwyth. (free, light refreshments provided) 

10 March - Swansea Waterfront Museum 

At Super Science Sunday, WEN Wales will be celebrating women’s contribution to science and our 100 Welsh Women Project. There will be a family-friendly science show: The XX Factor (12pm) from Science Made Simple and a panel discussion (13.30) as part of a full day of activities for all ages. (free - drop in)

North Wales

Wrexham AFC will be supporting International Women’s Day at their game against Chesterfield on March 2 

The teams will be led out by junior girls players and there will b e a special article in the match programme about Wrexham AFC Ladies team. In addition the poet and spoken word author Evrah Rose will be reading some of her poetry including a bespoke piece about Wrexham AFC which has been especially written for the day.
