Roads - Adoption Agreements

The Council is responsible for maintaining roads that have been adopted.  Roads are adopted by the Council when they have reached a specific standard.

Callers to Baldwin House Council Offices can view the records held on adopted highways.  To make an appointment, contact the Council on (01495) 355371.  Please note an administration charge, payable in advance, is made for the supply of any Ordnance Survey material in connection with enquiries of this nature.

Normally, any request for the adoption of a highway should be directed to the developer, who will liaise with the Council to make the necessary arrangements.  Should any difficulties arise with this process contact the Council on the above number.
