In the term following your child’s third birthday a free early years education place can be provided in either a maintained setting (School) or non-maintained setting (Day Nursery, Cylchoodd Meithrin or Pre-School Playgroup).

Quality in non-maintained settings is assured through Estyn Inspections, CSSIW Inspections and Blaenau Gwent Quality Assurance processes and monitoring (Environmental Ratings Scheme – ERS).
