About Community Connectors

Do you know someone who is isolated from their community or family? Someone who doesn’t have a lot of confidence? Someone who is lonely?

If you do, then you can help.

Blaenau Gwent Council has a number of ‘Community Connectors’ working throughout the Borough to re-connect people back into their communities. Community Connectors also work with many groups and organisations within communities to help people find activities and groups that can benefit their own well being.

A community Connectors aim is to support people to:

  • Remain as independent as possible
  • Improve their sense of well being
  • Feel less lonely
  • Feel part of their community
  • Find information and advice

Community Connectors can also work within communities to offer advice and guidance to local people about how they can use their own strengths, skills and experiences to help others.

If we can help, we will know someone who can!!

If we can’t help, we will know someone who can!!
