Enforcement Policy Consultation

Public Protection Services Enforcement & Compliance Policy Consultation

Monday 31st July - Friday 25th August

Blaenau Gwent and Torfaen County Borough Councils are seeking your views on their Joint Public Protection Services Enforcement and Compliance Policy.

Both Councils are collaborating in the delivery of Public Protection Services – Environmental Health, Trading Standards, and Licensing.

The policy sets out what residents and businesses can expect from the services, the reasons why enforcement action may be taken, and what advice and enforcement options are available.
Residents and businesses are invited to review the draft policy document and make their comments

Deputy Leader and Executive member for Environment Garth Collier from Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council said:

“Both Councils are committed to protecting the health, safety, environment and amenities of the people who live, work and visit the area, whilst ensuring that the enforcement we carry out is fair, accountable, consistent, proportionate and transparent. We encourage people to look through the policy and to provide us with any comments that they may have.”
