A new, state-of-the-art Heritage Centre is about to open its doors to the public in Blaina. The centre will be officially opened by the well-known archaeological artist, Michael Blackmore, on Friday 5 January at 2.00pm and will be open to the public to visit from 10.00am on Monday 8 January.

The recently-prepared Abertillery Town Centre Regeneration Strategy has received a boost, with the news that the Welsh Assembly Government has approved a £1½ million bid from the Physical Regeneration Fund for the construction of a new Foundry Bridge.
