What is Working Skills for Adults?

Working Skills for Adults is a European Social Funded project, working with employed people across Blaenau Gwent.

The aim of the project is to support local people to improve their skills and confidence, to enable them to maximise their earning potential and to improve motivation, productivity and stability within the workforce.

How does the Project Work?

If you live in Blaenau Gwent and are employed for over 16 hours, then Working Skills for Adults will offer you guidance and support to enable you to acquire the skills and qualifications to achieve your employment goals.

As part of this project you will be able to access free learning opportunities at local venues.  The opportuntities on offer include: ICT, Improve your English and Maths, GCSE English and Maths, Languages, Emergency First Aid, Manual Handling, Food Safety plus bespoke short courses, such as report writing or minute taking.

You will also benefit from individual support from the project's community learning and development officers, plus personal learning action plans, basic skills development and childcare provision.
