St David's Day Celebration

Learners from Blaenau Gwent and Monmouthshire got together to celebrate St David's Day at our special coffee morning at Ebbw Vale Learning Action Centre, on Friday 4th March.  A great morning was had by all, in the company of John Thomas, a harpist from Caldicot.  35 learners of various levels enjoyed listening and singing along with John, who talked about the history of the melodies and tales from the Mabinogion, in a unique way.  There was also an opportunity for learners to have a go at playing the harp.  Everyone was in their element singing and sampling the "pice ar y maen" (Welsh cakes)!  Thanks to all who supported this event - another great success!
