Blaenau Gwent’s Sport and Active Living Department is committed to providing
opportunities for volunteers, parents and performers in sport and physical activity
as well as current and potential coaches of the future to develop and improve their
coaching skills. The courses on offer range from Sports Coach UK courses such
as Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People to Coaching Methods
and Communication as well as UKCC courses delivered by National Governing
bodies.

Coach Education Programme 2009/2010

Blaenau Gwent's Coach Education Programme offers a wide range of excellent courses to suit all levels of coaching, from beginners to those who want to develop their coaching skills in various sports.

The Coach Education Programme has an extensive programme of workshops from Sports Development Planning and Good Practice & Child Protection workshops to Emergency First Aid courses.

Also available are the Sports Coach Uk courses, aimed at all coaches, beginners or experienced, who want to gain more knowledge on a particular coaching issue.

With so many diverse courses on offer, the Blaenau Gwent Sports Development Team are here to help with any queries and they can also make recommendations on which courses are best for your needs.
