Suggestions, Praise, Complaints & Representations

Do you have a suggestion, praise or complaint about our service?

Blaenau Gwent Social Services Department aims to provide the highest quality service.  We are committed to involving people who use our services in decisions about what is best for them, and to providing satisfaction whenever possible.

It is the policy of the Department always to offer you, as a user of our services, the opportunity to be involved in the ways your needs are met.  You will be given reasons if it is not possible to provide what you want.  You should always be treated with respect and courtesy.

We value your comments from people who use our services.  Please write or speak to a member of staff if you want to:

  • make a suggestion for ways our service could be improved;
  • express appreciation;
  • make a complaint because you are dissatisfied.

Suggestions and Praise

If you contact us, we will pass your comments onto the relevant member of staff and reply to you in writing.

Complaints – how to be heard

If you are unhappy with your social services, you have a right to complain.

We aim for high standards but sometimes things can go wrong.  Unless you tell us, we won’t be able to work with you to put things right as soon as possible.
