Events
In recent years Ebbw Vale has hosted a range of events including its Christmas Lights switch-on, annual Scouts Day, Continental Markets as well as the very successful National Eisteddfod in 2010.
Ebbw Valley Railway and bus link
2008 saw the opening of the passenger train service on the Ebbw Vale Railway providing a quick and easy way for people from outside the area to visit the town. A bus link service operates from the Town Centre to take passengers to and from Ebbw Vale Parkway station to connect with the hourly trains, including a stop in the town centre.
Ebbw Vale Markets
In addition to the variety of shops available within the town centre, Ebbw Vale is also home to a very successful weekly market. The market operates every Friday, 9:00am – 5:00 (4:00pm during the winter months). Market traders offer a range of products including fruit, vegetables, clothing, home ware and a whole lot more.
