Abandoned vehicles

An abandoned vehicle is one to which the owner has no intention of returning.  The Environmental Health Section has powers to remove vehicles that have been abandoned and to recover costs if the owner comes forward after the vehicle has been removed.

If you would like to report an abandoned vehicle to allow us to action your complaint quickly and efficiently we would ask that you provide the following information:

(a)   Does the vehicle have a valid road tax disc supplied?

(b)   A description of the vehicle including – registration number, colour, make & model

(c)   An accurate description of the location of the vehicle using the following as a guide

 

• outside a particular property

• to the front or rear

• use local landmarks
