Planning Control
Reporting to the Planning Committee, the Planning Control Section is responsible for the delivery of the statutory role of processing planning and related applications. In addition, it provides free advice on preliminary proposals.
The Section is also responsible for the enforcement of planning control and work in connection with planning appeals.
As of 1st October 2008, all new planning applications need to be submitted using 1APP, which is a Standard Planning Application Form introduced by Communities and Local Government and the Welsh Assembly, intended to help streamline the planning application process. 1APP will replace the old forms previously used by Blaenau Gwent Council, which as a result will no longer be accepted. If you wish to submit a planning application, click on the 1APP link to download the application forms.
