If you have got some household items too big for your bin – such as an old fridge, television, a mattress or a chair – we can collect it.

How to arrange a collection

• Book for a furniture collection using the online booking form

Please make sure the items are outside your property at your bin collection point by 7am on the day of collection.

If the bulky items we collect are in a reusable condition they will be taken to our workshop to be repaired and restored. These items can then be passed on to local charities for residents to purchase.

All electrical and electronic equipment we collect will be taken to the Household Waste Recycling Centre at New Vale to be recycled.

What can’t be collected

We will not collect building materials, wooden flooring, doors, soil, sand, tiles, ceramics cement or timber. You may be able to take some of these items to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre – please check what they will accept before making a journey.

Please note we do not do house clearances.
