Supporting families to give children a Flying Start in life
Parents with children aged 0-3 years, who live in the following school catchment areas, are able to benefit from the Flying Start programme :
- Sirhowy
- Deighton
- St Illtyd's
- Garnlydan
- Swffryd
The Flying Start Programmes provides the following services in the catchment area:
- Extra support and advice throughout pregnancy and the first years of your child's life, with a Flying Start Health Visitor of Flying Start Family Support Worker
- Free part time high quality childcare for three terms, from the term after your child's second birthday
- Incredible Years Parenting Programmes which offer support for the whole family
- Language and Play groups, which offer quality indoor and outdoor activities, to support children to learn through play and develop their language skills.
