The Incredible Years Parenting Programme

Are you having difficulty understanding your child's behaviour?

The 'Incredible Years' is a Parenting Programme designed to prevent, reduce and treat behavioural problems in children aged 2 to 10 years and to increase their social competence.  The programme is a 12-week programme where a different topic is discussed as a group each week. 

Topics include Play, Praise and Rewards, promoting your child's thinking skills, Bringing out the best in your child, Motivating your children, Effective limit setting, The importance of being clear, predictable and positive, Decreasing annoying behaviours, Handling misbehaviour, Time out & consequences and Putting it all together.

Groups run at various times throughout the Authority.  Find out if a group is running in your area.
