Parenting Support in Blaenau Gwent

Would you like information and advice on how to manage your child or teenager’s behaviour?

Parents/carers face many challenges from the time their children are born and at every stage as they grow and develop.  All families experience transitions, which bring extra pressures and strains.  Parents and carers often have little training for their role or for the challenges their children may face in the course of ordinary, normal family life.

The Parenting Project, based at the Heart of the Valleys Integrated Children’s Centre can offer a range of information, advice and support via groups and one to one sessions that can give parents ideas to manage difficult behaviour and improve family life.

Sessions range from:

  •  2 hour workshops
  • 4-8 weeks programmes
  • 12 week programmes

Programme topics include:

Workshops:

- Stress Busting

- Responding to tantrums

- Preparing for teenagers

- Plus many more ….
