Pye Corner Station

A station is proposed at Pye Corner as part of a future phase of the scheme. Such a station would be situated on the existing line adjacent to Western Valley Road. A new station a Pye Corner is forecast to generate 69,000 passengers a year. The station could be served by the proposed passenger services to Cardiff and Newport.

The implementation of this station is dependent upon further design and costing work to develop a preferred solution for the site. The precise timescale for the implementation of this station is dependant upon its economic viability in cost-benefit terms, the availability of funding, as well as the need to obtain the necessary planning consents. This proposal would be subject to a separate public consultation exercise.
