Cwm Station

A station is proposed at Cwm as part of a future phase of the scheme. This station would be located on the existing line, at the heart of the settlement, adjacent to the Victoria Arms public house. A station at Cwm could be served by the proposed passenger services to Cardiff and Newport. Groundworks for the station were carried out as part of the Cwm Bypass project.

The implementation of this station is dependent upon further design and costing work to develop a preferred solution for the site. The precise timescale for the implementation of this station depends on its economic viability in cost-benefit terms, the availability of funding, as well as the need to obtain the necessary planning consent. This proposal would be subject to a separate public consultation exercise.
