Adoption

Make a Wish come true
Some people think about adoption but never look into it further, they think they might not be suitable – in many cases they are quite wrong!

There is no upper age limit for adoption, you do not have to be married, own your own home or be employed.  People from all ethnic origins and religions can adopt, as can single people and heterosexual, lesbian or gay individuals or couples.

W
e are looking for adopters who have the physical and emotional energy to care for children now and into their long-term future.

You have to be over 21, happy to make space in your life and home for a child, be patient and flexible, energetic and determined to make a difference to a child’s future for a lifetime!

Older children and sibling groups are amongst those children who wait the longest so we are particularly keen to hear from people who can offer a permanent and loving home to an older child or siblings.

For more information or an informal discussion and to receive an information pack please contact the Blaenau Gwent Adoption Team and ask to speak to an Adoption Worker about adoption.

We look forward to hearing from you!
