LATEST NEWS  The Hearing Sessions will commence on the 26th June 2012. The Inspector has updated the Hearing Programme and List of Sessions which is available to download here. The names and representor references of those invited to speak are listed at the end of each hearing session. A number of papers and technical reports have been submitted to the Inspector in order to meet the Inspector's deadline. These can be viewed by clicking on the appropriate hearing session through the Examination Hearing Sessions webpage.

The Inspector
Planning Inspector Mr V Maher MA(CANTAB) MCD MBA MRTPI has been appointed to conduct the examination in respect of the Blaenau Gwent Local Development Plan. His role is to consider all the evidence to ensure that it is based on sound information and thinking and that the views of those with concerns about the plan have been considered. The Inspector will produce a report for Council giving his recommendations for action. This report will be binding on the Council.

The Pre Hearing Meeting
The Pre Hearing Meeting for Blaenau Gwent Local Development Plan Examination was held on Tuesday 24 April 2012 at 2 pm. The meeting took place at the General Offices, Ebbw Vale. The minutes of the meeting are available to view and download here.

The Hearing Sessions 
A series of hearing sessions will be held to discuss various aspects of the LDP. The Inspector has updated the Hearing Programme and List of Sessions which is available to download here.

The Programme Officer

The Examination Library consists of the submitted documents and the planning related documents that have informed the Deposit Draft LDP, and examination documents.

Documents are available to view in hard copy at the Planning Policy Offices, Business Resource Centre, Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate, Tredegar and with the Programme Officer at the General Offices, Ebbw Vale.
