Netball Development

Netball opportunities have increased considerably within Blaenau Gwent since 2002 with the numbers of women & girls playing quadrupling!!  There are opportunities for all to play competitive or recreational netball, there is a club within the Authority to suit all abilities.

Abertillery have four teams in the South East Wales League from the Premier Division to division three.  They train at Abertillery Sports Centre.

Tredegar Ladies Netball Club have two teams in the South East Wales league in division two and three.  They train at Tredegar Sports Centre.

Ebbw Vale Ladies Netball Club have one team in the Blaenau Gwent/Caerphilly recreational league, they train every Wednesday at Ebbw Vale Sports Centre and welcome new members joining.

Blaina Bees Ladies is the most recently developed club, they have two teams in the recreational league this season.  They train at Nantyglo Sports Centre.

Cwm are in the embryonic stage of developing a netball club for ladies - watch this space for further updates.

Tredegar Netball Club - Thursday evening 7:30pm - 8:30pm at Tredegar Sports Centre

 

Junior Netball Opportunities

Abertillery Dragon Sport Netball - Thursday 4:30pm - 5:15pm for under 9 and 5:15 - 6:00 for under 12

Nantyglo Dragon Sport Netball - Monday 5:00pm - 6:00pm for 7 - 12 year olds

Ebbw Vale Dragon Sport Netball -Thursday 4:30 - 5:30 for under 9s and 5:30pm-6:30pm for under 12s and under 14s

Tredegar Junior Netball Club - Thursday 4:30-5:30 under 8, 5:30 - 6:30 under 9s, 10s and 11s, 6:30-7:30 under 12s and under 14s
