Sports Development


The Sports Development team have developed an extensive programme of sports and physical activity for Blaenau Gwent.  This includes:


Active Living Referral Scheme


Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, in partnership with the Local Health Board and Primary Care staff, have developed the Active Living Referral Scheme to help adopt a healthier lifestyle if you:

• Dont do a lot of exercise
• Or have certian low risk medical conditions.

Disabilitiy Sports Development

This project seeks to increase opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in sport and physical activity.

Sports Specific Development

Sports Development are currently running a number of different sporting activities including football, rugby, cricket, hockey development etc.

Dragon Sport

Dragon Sport offers your children sport the way they like it, with simpler rules, smaller equipment and playing areas, plus fun training and coaching, mean that every girl and boy can enjoy the great feeling of success!
