DROPPED KERBS

Where a dwelling requires access to the highway and the area between the dwelling and the road needs to be altered then consent for the envisaged work is needed from the Highway Authority.  The work usually covers the creation of vehicle access to single dwelings across an adjacent footpath and/or verge.

This is in addition to any planning permission or other consents that may be required.  Please note that access from a Class 1 Road or above will require planning permission.

An initial consultation fee must be paid before Officers from Engineering Services will assess your application.  To apply for a drop kerb application form please contact the following:-
