Parents into Education

Blaenau Gwent Sure Start Programme aims to work with parents and families of children aged 3 years and under.  Sure Start helps families and parents (including parents to be) ensure their children have the best possible start in life by:

º Providing advice on parenting skills

º Providing advice on adults and child issues

º Producing good quality play activities

º Providing educational opportunities for parents

We have two Parents into Education centres in Blaenau Gwent one based in Brynteg Youth Club, Ebbw Vale and Abertillery Youth Club, Abertillery.

You can find many courses available at both our parents into education centres, some of these courses include:

Parenting Courses, Baby Club, English, Maths, Word Processing, Sign Language, Beauty Care, Cake Decorating, Hairdressing, Keep Fit and more,  Free creche facilities are available for your child(ren) along with free limited transport to and from the centres.
