Participation

In Blaenau Gwent, all children, young people and their parents will have the opportunity to participate in decisions which affect their lives.  They will have access to services that meet their needs, and the opportunity to shape how these
services are planned and delivered . "Participation means that it is my right to be involved in making decisions, planning and reviewing an action that might affect me. Having a voice, having a choice."

Participation is a process not an event and Empowerment is the outcome. (Crowley, A. 2004)
