Valleys Voice

Valleys Voice is the quarterly residents' newsletter issued to every household in the County Borough.

Blaenau Gwent Council in partnership with Safer Blaenau Gwent administers the Community Communications Network, CCN, a home office-approved initiative to tackle the fear of crime and aid community engagement.

Plasma screens are located around the County Borough in post offices, sports centres, libraries, Learning Action Centres, supermarket cafes and the Metropole. They deliver direct local information, community safety messages, useful information, crime reduction advice and ‘What’s On in Blaenau Gwent’ from both the Council and the Community Safety Partnership.

The screens also regularly deliver national news, weather and sporting information direct from the BBC, as well as emergency messages.
