Parental Support

Parental Support is available in Blaenau Gwent in variety of ways with services offering support for parents and carers. 

There are many links available on the left of this page to provide information to you as a parent.

It is not permitted, for legal reasons, to provide certain information to parents but if a parent is entitled to the information by law, the school have an obligation to provide it.

If you have any queries about your entitlement, information can be provided by schools from the headteacher.

The following lists a snapshot of information you might receive from your childs school.

-   copies of the governors’ annual report

-   pupil reports and attendance records

-   voting in elections for parent governors

-   consent requests for your child to take part in extra-curricular activities

-   meeting invitations involving your child for parents evenings or Governors Pupil Committees
