Have your say on the future development of transport in south east Wales
The ten Councils of south east Wales (Sewta) have developed a draft Regional Transport Plan which sets out their policies and proposals to improve the transport system of the region over the coming years.
The plan recognises that we cannot continue to build roads to carry the extra traffic and climate change is likely to bring significant changes to the way we look at our relationship with the environment. The plan seeks to help the move towards a more sustainable environment for work, the economy and personal and recreational travel.
The main proposals include:
The plan contains a draft 5 year programme of works and also sets out longer term proposals needed to achieve the plan’s aims.
The plan has now been published in draft form. Before it is finalised Sewta would like as many people as possible to have their say. Are the policies and proposals right?. Do you agree with the future work programmes? Is there anything else Sewta should be doing?.
