Blaenau Gwents Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system operates 24/7 for 365 days of the year. Using state of the art digital recording equipment and manned by trained and qualified operators the system has proved invaluable in combatting crime and disorder within the borough.
Working closely with Gwent Police and other enforcment agencies the system and its recordings have contributed in a number of successful criminal convictions as well as being used to reduce anti-social behaviour and crime and disorder on a day to day basis.
Community safety and the reduction of crime within the borough has always been and will continue to be the CCTV control rooms main priority.
