The Corporate Communications team answers all press inquiries from journalists and members of the media.

Individual officers should not be approached directly by the media – all inquiries will be answered by the Communications team.

Local government communications is regulated by the Code of Recommended Practice on Local Authority Publicity.

All news releases issued by the team are archived on the website. 

Council Decisions

Details of Council meetings, upcoming agendas and dates of meetings can be found in the Council - Minutes, Agendas and Reports section.

Communications Information

The team issue news releases, arrange interviews and photocalls and answer journalists’ questions. They also produce the quarterly residents' newspaper, Valleys Voice, A – Z Guide to Services, Official Guide and Street Atlas, as well as administering CCN (Community Communications Network).
