From Monday 30 January, 2012, there will be changes to the E3/E4 and the E8 bus services in Blaenau Gwent. Routes E3 and E4 will be replaced by a single service route E3.
The changes are taking place as a result of changes to traffic conditions due to regeneration works in Abertillery as well as the need to offer a service through Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan.
Monitoring of the current service has shown that delays have been occurring as result and changes to the current routes are necessary.
The new route E3 will operate from Brynmawr to Garnlydan via Abertillery, Blaina, Aberbeeg, Cwm, Waunlwyd and Ebbw Vale and will continue to operate hourly. Service E8 has also been incorporated into the new E3 route.
Passengers from the Garnlydan and Rassau areas will benefit from these changes as a result of a through bus to Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan, Festival Shopping, Cwm and Aberbeeg.
Passengers travelling between Brynmawr and Ebbw Vale will be able to continue to use the X4 service which operates every 30 minutes throughout the day.
