TV Access to Twitter & Flickr Live & Available Now
In a public sector TV first, Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council can now integrate Twitter feeds and pull in images from Flickr to add up to date content and colour to your Looking Local services on TV.
We realised that many Looking Local partners were using Twitter for a variety of public announcements such as school closures, town hall news, job vacancies, transport & traffic updates and saw the opportunity to allow this up to the minute content to be published on the TV and mobile simultaneously.
Supporting the aims of the ‘Big Society’ debate by including all people and allowing them to express their opinions and influence decision making, these new modules can help your TV and mobile service reach those without web access, involve more people and reap the rewards of a closer knit community.
