Take care – stay away from ice and frozen water, says Blaenau Gwent Council
11 January 2010
Blaenau Gwent Council is urging local people to be very careful and to stay off frozen ponds and lakes in the area.
Sub-zero temperatures mean that some waterways around the county borough have frozen over.
But ice is deadly dangerous. Across the UK, people have died or been seriously injured after falling through ice.
The Council is reminding local people of all ages of the dangers. Stay away from the ice!
