Schools in Blaenau Gwent also use the BBC Wales website daily to notify parents and staff if they are closed. During the freeze the BBC Wales website is updated minute by minute every morning from 5.30am onwards.
School closure information is also broadcast on BRfm – the local community radio station.
Please note that school closure pages will only be updated on a daily basis in the event of severe weather or where there are school closures within the Borough. If all schools are open within Blaenau Gwent the dates will not be amended on this page on a daily basis.
In the event of any school closures due to adverse weather, pages will be amended and updated with relevant details and the last update date.
