There will be three main parking areas for cars:-
Rassau Industrial Estate Park and Ride (2,000 spaces)
Marine Colliery (Cwm) Park and Ride (900 spaces)
Hot Mill (on site) (2,500 spaces)
Both Park and Ride sites will have services from 07:00 to 23:00 Saturday 31st July to Saturday 7th August. With additional late running until midnight on Wednesday 4th August and Friday 7th August for the late concerts.
The Park and Ride sites at Rassau industrial estate and Marine Colliery are not open this Friday 30th July all parking is at Hot Mill for the evening event.
Blue badge holders will be accomodated within all car parks.
The Park and Ride sites will have a continuous need based frequency including low floor vehicles.
Blaenau Gwent Social Services will have specially adapted vehicles available for the severly disabled as and when required.
An hourly train service to Ebbw Vale Parkway will be met by buses to transport passengers to the Eisteddfod Maes.

Coun Des Hillman, Leader of Blaenau Gwent Council, welcomes everyone to Blaenau Gwent Eisteddfod.
“Croeso. The waiting is over – the Blaenau Gwent and Heads of the Valleys Eisteddfod 2010 is upon us.
“I am delighted to extend a warm Valleys welcome to all – and to say that we have some special attractions for visitors to the Maes. There are family events at the Beach, robots at The General Offices and lots to do at the basements. We are delighted to be to help with the arrangements for all these attractions – they will help make this Eisteddfod a unique and special event.”
There are many great family attractions at the Blaenau Gwent and Heads of the Valleys National Eisteddfod 2010 at The Works: Ebbw Vale.
There are several activity areas at The Beach. Activities will run from 10:15am until 4:00pm every day of the Eisteddfod from Saturday 31 July to Saturday 7 August 2010.
All day, every day, there will be hoops, bats, buckets, spades. Bowls and frisbees are available for use .
There will be four Punch and Judy shows daily 11am, 12.00pm, 1.00pm and 2.00pm.
On Thursday 4 August from 11.00am we have a kite flying extravaganza in conjunction with Save the Children. All kites made at the Save the Children stand throughout the Eisteddfod will be flown on that day at The Beach.
All activities are fully inclusive. Here are the daily times – which may be subject to change.
10:15am – 10:45am Deckchair Aerobics / Beach Boccia
10:30am – 12:30pm Sand play and activities for younger children
11:00am – 12 noon Beach 5 a side football
12:30pm – 1:30pm Beach touch rugby
1:30pm – 2:30pm Volleyball
3:00pm – 4:00pm Early years beach fun / sand combing / shell painting / sandcastles
The General Offices
The General Offices will be open from 10am until 6pm and will be holding a range of activities – including the 5D cinema and Robocup robotic football.
5D Cinema
There will be various shows throughout the week of the Eisteddfod between the hours of 10am until 6pm. Come along and experience the 5d effects including moving seats, water spray and leg ticklers. A full programme is available daily at The General Offices.
Robocup
Come to The General Offices and see The Works’ very own artificial intelligence at work – including robot football events. There will be a range of robot activities (highlighted below) to showcase the latest in robotic technology. Come and have a go!

Welsh Future Homes
Come and view our demonstration Eco–homes to give you an idea of future green living. Visitors will be able to go inside these houses every day throughout the Eisteddfod from 10am until 5:30pm.
Basement activities
Zip wire yourself into one of the unique basements at The Works. This activity will be provided from 10am until 5pm throughout the Eisteddfod. Visitors will zip slide into a basement eight metres deep and will have the opportunity to climb out via a scramble net. Health and safety restrictions apply.
The Community and Vertical Garden basements will be open for members of the public to freely walk around from 10am until 5:30pm.
