Three-Day Continental Market Coming To Abertillery
28 September 2008
Abertillery is to host a three-day continental market from Thursday 4 September until Saturday September 6.
A wide range of traders from around Europe will be descending on the town centre, setting up stalls in the streets between 9am and 5.30pm each day.
Products on offer include French cheeses, quality Italian leather goods, fresh bread (baked on site), dry sausages, bonbons, biscuits, pancakes, dry fruits and nuts, olives, charcuterie, and jewellery.
Townspeople and visitors will experience flavours and aromas from the continent of Europe and will be able to buy unusual treats, special products and gifts from the vibrant stalls.
Town Centre Manager for Abertillery, Karin Lamb organised the event.
She said: “We hope the continental market will attract shoppers from across Blaenau Gwent and also from outside the county borough – bringing a welcome boost to Abertillery’s retail business community.”
