Volunteers Wanted To Help Stage Major Blues Festival

24 April 2008

Abertillery Blues Festival – now in its fourth year and fast growing to become one of Wales’s major music events – is looking for volunteers to steward at its 2008 events.

The Blues Festival has gone from strength to strength with the line up getting bigger and better each year.

Stewarding duties involve monitoring car parks and general crowd control on the two days of the Blues Festival - Friday 18 July and Saturday 19 July. Although stewards are unpaid, each volunteer will receive a lunch voucher and can listen to the great music which includes this year’s headliners Robert Cray Band, Dr Feelgood, Ian Parker, Connie Lush and many more. Applicants must be over the age of 18 years old.

If you would like to volunteer for Blaenau Gwent’s biggest music event contact Charlotte Evans by Friday 16 May on 01495 355610 or e-mail charlotte.evans@blaenau-gwent.gov.uk.
